A speciality of  northern India, parathas can be made from a plain no stuffing paratha to a light stuffed paratha depending upon one’s taste. Again if cooked with less oil, it is also a low calorie breakfast option that can be served with plain curd, pickle and green chutney. Aloo Paratha is a favourite in most Punjabi homes and is often served with dollops of white butter. Today aloo paratha has become a standard breakfast item in most parts of the country and is available in any roadside dhaba anywhere in the country.
